Combining Efforts

The Big Stone Lake Area Chamber and the Ortonville EDA are in the process of a more formal merging of efforts.  Information will be posted as the planning moves together.

Currently the Chamber and the EDA share office space which is conveniently located on the Big Stone County Museum Grounds.  Our first step is to prove a combined website for a one-stop informational experience for all things “Big Stone Lake Area”.  Both entities focus on the health of our current businesses and also look to recruit more business and jobs for the health of the area – with the acknowledgement that tourism is a strong economic and recruiting factor.

Please provide input on the website as we make these changes and suggest changes and additions that would make the site more useful.  We are in the process of expanding the Calendar to be more inclusive to all organizations for posting so please contact us if you would like to be involved with that.
